PLC's 5th Annual Sports Tournament & Community Outreach — Volleyball

Who can play: Open to all members of the community and visitors as well. ** no age limit

When: Advanced League (Saturday July 21st 7am — 4pm) & Novice/Family League (Saturday July 28th 7am — 4pm) Registration is open at 7am — games start at 8am, last registration at 830am by discretion of youth director.

Where: Einstein Park located at the Southwest corner of Dakota and Millbrook Avenues (3566 E Dakota Avenue, Fresno Ca)

Cost: Free

Rules: 1 game to 25 points using rally score but will be reffed using outdoor rules. Double elimination system. Games will begin at 8am and all games will be played using «men's net». Teams may be co-ed or an all men's/women's team. There are no rules or regulations regarding composition of teams.

Prize: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will receive medals.

There will be two leagues: Advanced and Novice/Family which you will indicate on your registration sheet.

The first day (July 21st) is reserved for Advanced Teams and the second day (July 28th) is reserved for Novice/Family Teams. Your team may be co-ed or all girls/boys teams. A player can only play on one team. Playing on more than one team may cause yourself and the entire team to receive a loss.

Registration:
Registration is open now until July 21st for Advanced League and until July 28th for Novice/Family League. Teams will need to fill out:
1 registration form per team &
1 waiver form per player. ** Players who are under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver form as well in the appropriate area.
-It is preferred that registration and waiver forms be turned in ahead of time but we will accept forms on the day of as well. Players who have not completed the waiver form and are not listed on the registration form will not be allowed to play.

10 players maximum per team including their team captain. 17 and under will need the liability and release form filled by their parents or a legal guardian to be able to play.

PLC Youth and Young Adult Mentors are not allowed to play in games unless they obtain permission from the Youth Director.

This event is a community event sponsored by Peace Lutheran Church Youth and Young Adult Group. Please no profanity, gang attire or disruptive behavior. Any suspicious activity will be reported to park security or Fresno Police Department. This is a nonprofit organization. All proceeds go to a fund to support future events and activities that support our community. Food and drinks will be available.
Peace Lutheran Church and all associated directors, event planners, etc. reserve the right to refuse and/or limit any person(s) from participation of this event for any reason. By participating in this tournament, you understand and agree to these rules, regulations and policies.
