Friday night foodie ride!

Join Tina on an easy ride on the Clovis Trails, out to the new Park Crossing center on Friant road. We’ll relax for a while, and check out all the great food and dessert options out there.

This one's great for all kinds of bikes — bring your friends and family! Lights mandatory. Ride leaves from Steven’s Clovis shop at Willow and Nees, 8 miles round trip, meet on the trail in back of the shop.
Ride with GPS route:

Check our Facebook page for updates and cancellations. Ride will cancel at temps of 100 degrees or higher.

Bring your helmet, sunglasses, and survival kit (bag with a spare tube, tire levers and a pump and/or CO2 inflator). Clear glasses are a good idea to keep bugs out of your eyes on the way back. **WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADDING SEALER TO YOUR TUBES TO AVOID GETTING A FLAT** so we can all keep rolling!

Before You Ride
Make sure your bike is working properly before you arrive for the ride. If you'd like, the mechanics at Steven's can do a free safety check so your bike is ready to roll (just bring your bike in some time before the ride!)

Remember to always ride safely! Treat cars, pedestrians, and other cyclists with respect and hopefully they’ll do the same for us, too. It's always nice to say thank you if drivers yield the right of way.

ALWAYS make sure a driver sees you before crossing in front.

** Each person is responsible to check traffic and make sure road intersections, stop signs, etc. are clear for themselves, even if someone calls “clear."

** On the trails, watch for dogs, pedestrians, etc. and leave plenty of room when passing. Use a bell or call «on your left» so pedestrians and other riders know you're approaching.

** Signal to others. Yell “slowing” or “stopping” before you brake, and use hand signals and/or call to signal hazards such as gravel, debris, other riders, cars, pedestrians, turns. Warn others of your intentions. If you need to stop or pull over indicate or shout your intentions and do it slowly so others will have time to react.

** Use the brakes sparingly. Feather the levers lightly instead of clutching at them. Most crashes are caused by someone braking sharply so if you need to brake, do it carefully and gently tap on the rear brake.

** Give yourself enough room between riders to maneuver and avoid hazards, and be cautious of inexperienced riders.

** Protect your front wheel. If your rear wheel is struck a fall is unlikely because it has nothing to do with steering the bike. However, if your front wheel is contacted it will often be twisted off line faster than you can react and you’ll almost certainly go down. Help prevent this by never overlapping someone’s rear wheel.

** Check parked cars to make sure doors won’t be opening into your path and allow plenty of room to get around them.

** Please advise the group/group leader if you are leaving the group for any reason.
