Ceschi & Anonymous Inc
In the mid 90s, 2 delinquent Puerto Rican / Italian tween brothers, raised on Salsa, The Beatles & Latin American folk started a band with quiet aspirations of being neo-grungers. By 1996, Ceschi & David Ramos’ basement band, Anonymous Inc, had decided to completely ignore genre and create whatever music they felt. For this reason, it’s difficult to ever describe what they may do at any given time.
On their 1996 cassette there were elements of hip hop, hardcore punk, ska & jazz — with contributions from teen freestyle wizard iCON The Mic King. After awkward years of puberty came musical discovery of wildly progressive west coast hip hop, free jazz fusion, 60s psych & prog rock, shoegaze, Brazilian tropicalia & boundary shifting electronic production.
By 1999 the brothers were working with members of California based avant hip collectives Anticon, The Shape Shifters & Project Blowed to create some of the most dynamic and genre-bending left field hip hop pieces in bedroom recording history. In 2001 an Anticon records subsidiary distributed their first full length album and the band made some noise amongst the bowels of the weirdo underground hip hop world.
By 2004, proficient young songwriter, electronic producer & experimental composer Max Heath joined the band while he and David attended Wesleyan University.
Around this time, all three members of Anonymous Inc. formed the band Toca in Los Angeles that was discovered by Snoop Dogg’s management team. In 2007 Toca released a genre-bending pop record that lead to Modern Drummer Magazine naming David Ramos one of the top progressive drummers of 2007.
Suddenly, life obstacles prevented the band from continuing regularly and helped lead to Toca’s silent break up.
During this time, Ceschi & David formed the record label Fake Four Inc to release their projects and music from friends.
Max Heath recorded piano alongside esteemed experimental jazz composer Anthony Braxton and caught attention throughout the world for the production and writing he did with his electronic pop act, Child Actor.
Ceschi focused on a solo career that lead him to some level of cult success and respect by peers as he embarked on a seemingly endless tour of the world. He’s toured and collaborated with artists such as Sage Francis, Open Mike Eagle, Pat The Bunny of Johnny Hobo / Ramshackle Glory, Milo, Astronautalis & P.O.S. of Doomtree.
Now, In 2018, the original band Anonymous Inc has started recording their first new album in 17 years and is releasing multiple EPs of 8 track recordings from the early 2000s that previously never saw the light of day.
In June 2018 they will tour together for the first time in 8 years. At a Ceschi & Anonymous Inc show expect a hodge podge of high energy Latino tinged fusion, punk, mathy indie rock, brutally honest folk, experimental jazz elements all touched by a strong left field hip hop influence. It’s hard to explain, but not hard to feel.
Formed during the summer heat of 2013, in the streets of Pittsburgh, PA, Cousin Boneless create a distinctive sound that dances between the ardent and the macabre. Weaving together an energetic mix of punk and folk, their poignant lyrics dig into the struggles of our culture and times, while their atmospheric and darkly crafted sound is calculated and gripping.
Heavily entrenched in the DIY folk and punk communities where their music first took form, Cousin Boneless maintain their viciously DIY ethos, having promoted and toured their music tirelessly since their inception.
After spending years as an exclusively acoustic band, Cousin Boneless have transformed on their latest full-length offering, Possession, to be released June 7th with All We’ve Fot Records, plugging in and incorporating a fuller, heavier sound. The album marks a new milestone in their musical complexity, vision and direction.
When not on the road, the band is heavily involved with the 4th River Music Collective, a collection of radicals, musicians, and travelers, who organize events, promote shows and host an annual music festival in Pittsburgh, PA.
