It is San Francisco, 1967, and two earnest young men, Andy and Norman, are using their apartment as a publishing office for a «protest» magazine. When Olympic swimmer and all-American girl, Sophie, moves in down the hall, she pays a good-neighbor visit to the two aspiring publishers and Norman becomes hopelessly smitten. Unfortunately, his love is a determined madness, only heightened by Sophie’s equally determined rejection of him. Meanwhile, ladies-man Andy is fielding telephone calls from irate creditors, and distracting the landlady from thoughts of back rent with motorcycle rides and surfing expeditions. Although convinced her neighbors are printing a dangerously subversive magazine, our heroine soon finds the real source of her angst is that the wrong man is in love with her. In this frothy comedy, love, politics, and laughter blend into hilarious happenstance, and everybody goes home happy!
