Charles Dickens’ beloved Christmas fable comes to life in Romulus Linney’s stage adaptation of the classic tale about the “covetous old sinner,” Ebenezer Scrooge. Stingy, cold-hearted, and just plain mean, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner and the three spirits of Christmas as a warning to change his heartless ways before it is too late. In a visual feast of lighting effects, the audience flies over London with him, jumps at the entrance of the ghouls, and rediscovers the true meaning of Christmas. This time-honored and uplifting story is a perfect holiday tradition for family and friends and makes for a wonderfully jolly excursion for business parties and large groups.
Rated G (but a couple of ghosts are a wee bit scary for very young children).
