Join us for a ride to Humphrey's Station then up through Burrough's Valley down Wildcat and back to the shop on Saturday, July 29!
This ride is about 67 miles and has about 3530' of climbing. John will lead a group at a C pace (16-19) and someone else from the Best Buddies Central Valley team will lead a B-pace group (13-15) in Vanessa's absence! Vanessa will drive SAG and have ice/water for everyone at the corrals. Route map will be posted shortly.
Ride meets at 5:45 am. All riders must sign an annual waiver and check in before the ride.
Please read and respect our group rules, as this ride is hosted at no cost, but with mandatory requirements. :)
Group Ride Rules
*Helmets are mandatory on all our rides.
*No earphones allowed. We need to be able to communicate with each other in a group situation! Thanks for understanding!
*Riders should always carry a Flat Repair Kit with them: spare tube, inflator or pump, lever
*Carry some form of ID in case of emergency.
*Stop at all stop signs. Ride single file. Communicate hazards to riders around you.
*Bring water and food sufficient for the ride distance and pace.
*Calling “Clear!” is prohibited. All riders are responsible for verifying that it’s clear.
*Each riders assumes his or her own risks on all rides.
*Those who ride ahead of the group are on their own ride.
*Always notify the ride leader when leaving the ride.

What does the A-B-C-D mean?
A: Typically 10-12 mph. Social, beginner-friendly pace. No drop; nobody gets left behind.
B: Typically 13-15 mph. Fitness, steady pace. Group may split up but will regroup often or have a sweeper/SAG.
C: Typically 16-18 mph. Fast, fit pace. Regroups only occasionally. Riders should be self-sufficient.
D: Typically 18-20+ mph. Strong, fast pace. Experienced in pacelines, no obligation to wait.
